Hello.👋🏻👋🏻 How are we all today? Well, I am currently a tad sleep deprived but hey!! .. I must trudge on.😀
Sorry, there’s me expecting you to know who I am! Louise, I am a mum to 5 little (or not so little ) critters (hence the sleep-deprived bit). I have willingly said yes to blogging on my friend’s blog .. or as you know her.. the “oh positive mum”😀😀. I will pop on here now and then (in other words when I get a few minutes to myself, which is hardly EVER!), just to offer you a bit of inspiration or positivity or to waffle on, who knows!! But what I will firstly say is, I am no expert on anything, I will only offer my views and opinions on things. I am no English teacher, so there will undoubtedly be many spelling errors etc. But most importantly I hope that some of you will be able to take away a bit of positivity from what I post.
Where was I? Oh yes, I have five children, three girls and two boys. Their ages are 14,12,10,7 and 4. Oh, and I have a husband too, so my household is pretty much manic all of the time. Beyond the manic, hectic house with hormones and a heap load of sassiness getting thrown around. I believe I am the luckiest woman alive. Please don’t get me wrong, things go wrong ALL the time. Emotions run high, and every single one of us is dealing with our shit, and shit on top of that shit, but it’s life. We have our path and believe it or not fear is all around us and that it can stop us from progressing and reaching for things we want in life.
Recommended Book to Read
I’ve just read a book by Susan Jeffers, PhD called “Feel the fear and do it anyway “, and I took a lot away from it!! I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, and it’s not too daunting as it’s a quick read. One of my favourite things she says is that WE decide what we want in life and we should act on it. And we are to stop waiting for someone to give it to us as we will be waiting a long time! It’s true! We are in charge of our happiness, no one else. So do things you want to do, and do things that make you feel at peace with yourself and others. It made me realise that EVERYONE feels fear when doing something new, not just me. The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.
Change to my Life
I can not emphasise how this book has helped me over the last couple of weeks. I feel less burdened with not worrying about trying to control situations and have learned to try and change my thought process a bit better, and mostly being aware of when I play the role of victim. In the book She mentions our biggest enemy, which is our chatterbox… yes we all have one.. you know that little voice inside, the voice that tried to drive you crazy, and often succeeds! It’s amazing when you become aware of it, as we are so used to it being there we often don’t notice it! This book helps you to take charge! We all tend to accept what comes our way..then we moan about it, but we have the power to create what we need! Seriously, go to your local library and take it out, or it’s currently on Amazon.
I shall leave it here, and I hope I have given you some food for thought. Go forth feel the fear and do it anyway!
