For me, Halloween has to be my favourite event of the year. I just love dressing up; having parties; and getting together with family and friends. So this year I had a search online to see if I can make this year a little different because, well just because… Do I really need to have a […]
With the school summer holidays approaching fast and not managed to sort out a family holiday or anything to look forward to. Keeping the children happy and occupied is going to be a task and a half. Depending on the ages of your children and the age range, this adds that extra stress when trying […]

I have discovered that I seem to be surrounded by mothers struggling with mental illness and most can’t even bring themselves to get help. It saddens me because I too have suffered for a very long time, but I went to get help because I didn’t want to make my nearest and dearest suffer from […]
St David’s Day, in Wales this is a big deal to dress your children up, and they have to look their best. It’s like photo day but in national dress costume. I’m trying to get both my daughters presentable. Dressed, teeth brushed, hair brushed and the typical school rush before the actual run. Outsmarted As […]
When you have a want to feel like you must work towards your goal, but when it comes to having children, this is a whole different thing.
It seems that whatever I do. I seem to be chasing my tail. Laundry is continuous, I’m constantly making food and then clearing up. I never seem to stop. Dishes to be done and then put the away. Tidying up the toys after the kids play. So when do I get a chance to sit […]
I’ve had so many setbacks since my last post. Not with clearing up my house by blogging it. I have however starting using the hashtag #clearingupmyhome on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook etc. Now I just have to find a way to include that into this site and I’ll be laughing.
Every week I’m faced with mountains of clothes that I have had to wash dry and then sorted ready to put away. My eldest daughter is meant to put her own away and same goes for my husband. That leaves my youngest and mine to do. Unfortunately this never goes to plan.
On the 22nd February 2016 will mark the two years that I have been on this downsize, declutter and new way of approach to things and stuff. I look around my house and see so much still here and how I haven’t made any progress. Then something happens like my eldest daughter gets ill. TMI […]
Wow time has flown. Summer holidays with the girls were eventful. My husband surprised me with a over-night trip to London for my birthday. Fluffy (eldest daughter) started swimming lessons and I’m so proud to say she has taken to it like a fish. Bubbles (youngest daughter) has adapted to nursery and no more tears […]
Yes finally! I’ve started listing on eBay again. Updated two items that weren’t selling and hopefully now they will go. I’ve set myself a target of listing five items a week. This depends on if enough items sell because I could end up with what appears to be a shop of items. As much as […]
Monday – procrastinating wasn’t the word. Ended up spending nearly a whole day at Romany’s (Pudding and boo) and we were discussing the surprise gift that my husband had bought for me. Later on in the day, it came. A A5 filofax in bright pink. When I say bright, I mean Filofax A5 Size The […]
This week has been a challenge to get through. Monday – I turned into 1950’s mother. House spotless upstairs and down. Children and husband fed a good healthy dinner and all was well. Then after the girls had gone to bed I did a spot of decorating in the living room. Tuesday – house was […]
So I sell items on eBay right? I also get a lot of deliveries from various companies. Be it nappies or other household essentials that I buy in bulk to save money in the long run. All come in good sized cardboard boxes. Which have been stored ready to send other items in. Problem is […]
I had the serious case of disappointment yesterday when I went to post some parcels at the post office. My local post office is going to be close to the 18th May, which is nearly 2 weeks away. And for once I was sticking to the plan. Sort, photograph, list. I got as far as […]
The idea of today was to empty the bathroom and decorate it. At the moment it still is an old stained yellow paint and full of holes that need filling.
This week has come and gone. I started to get things into order with chores and children and thought, right now to sit down and plan. I forgot that a course that I had enrolled on was starting and that takes up 3 evenings a week.
Day 59 : I’ve listed more stuff up on eBay but I still haven’t managed to make a solid plan to get on with the massive task to ‘actually’ clearing out everything. There seems to be so many things happening at once and today all I have managed to do is two loads of clothes […]
Two weeks ago I managed to sell the baby swing and couldn’t be happier. Until the person that bought it off me didn’t stop contacting me. The short of it, I put the plug in the box and sent it. When it got there, plug was missing, or so she says.
